RC Muscle & Movement offers three movement-focused appointment paths depending on what feels most useful for you right now.

Some people want:

  • focused work on one specific area

  • full-body recovery and tension relief

  • clearer understanding of recurring issues

This page helps you quickly work out which option fits best.

Simple Pathways For What You Need

Deep Tissue Massage

Best when something feels unclear, recurring or harder than it should.

This is the Function Path within the RCMM approach.

Usually the best starting point when:

  • you are unsure what’s contributing

  • something keeps returning

  • movement feels “off”

  • one side feels overloaded

  • previous approaches only helped temporarily

  • you want clearer understanding rather than guesswork

Sessions combine:

  • movement-focused assessment

  • practical explanation

  • hands-on support where appropriate

  • realistic next steps that fit everyday life

Best for:

  • recurring tightness

  • movement frustration

  • uncertainty

  • movement confidence

  • understanding the bigger picture

Probably not the best fit if:

you only want focused hands-on work on one area.

Movement & Function Assessment

Best for focused work on a specific tight or overloaded area.

This is the Movement Path within the RCMM approach.

Usually the best fit when:

  • one area keeps tightening up

  • movement feels restricted

  • work or training is affecting a specific muscle group

  • you want more targeted treatment

  • tension builds in the same place repeatedly

Sports Massage combines:

  • targeted soft-tissue work

  • movement-focused reasoning

  • practical hands-on support

  • simple guidance where useful

Best for:

  • neck and shoulder tension

  • lower body tightness

  • work-related tension

  • gym and training recovery

  • recurring muscular overload

Probably not the best fit if:

you want a slower full-body session.

Sports Massage

Best for full-body tension, recovery and physical reset.

This is the Comfort Path within the RCMM approach.

Usually the best fit when:

  • your whole body feels tight or overloaded

  • stress and workload are building physically

  • you want a slower-paced session

  • tension feels widespread rather than localised

  • you want to physically switch down and recover

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on:

  • slower hands-on work

  • easing muscular tension

  • improving comfort

  • helping the body feel less physically overloaded

Best for:

  • full-body tightness

  • stress-related tension

  • recovery between busy weeks

  • stiffness from work or sitting

  • general physical fatigue

Probably not the best fit if:

you want clarity around a more specific recurring issue.

Quick Chooser

Choose Movement & Function Assessment if:

  • you are unsure what’s going on

  • something keeps returning

  • movement feels harder than it should

Choose Sports Massage if:

  • one specific area feels tight or overloaded

  • you want focused hands-on support

Choose Deep Tissue Massage if:

  • tension feels more general

  • your body feels physically overloaded overall

  • you want a slower, full-body session

Still Unsure?

f uncertainty is the main issue, the Movement & Function Assessment is usually the safest place to start.

It helps build a clearer picture of what may be contributing and what support may help most.
